Foreigners working in Shanghai, those who have obtained permanent (long-term) residency rights abroad, and residents of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao, have terminated or terminated their labor (employment) relationship with the employer, and have left the country, and have no housing provident fund withdrawal loan entrustment; individual account status should be suspended or sealed.

Construction Bank Housing Provident Fund Business Network or Shanghai Provident Fund Management Center Business Network.

Requirements for handling:

1.Original identification documents:

（1）.Foreigners, persons who have obtained permanent (long-term) residency rights abroad shall provide passports corresponding to personal housing provident fund accounts, Shanghai Overseas Talent Residence Permit (or the original "Shanghai Residence Permit B"), "Foreigner Employment Permit", and "Residence" Approval Certificate for Employment of Foreigners in Shanghai or Permanent Identity Card for Foreigners

 （2）.Foreigners, persons who have obtained permanent (long-term) residency rights abroad shall provide passports corresponding to personal housing provident fund accounts, Shanghai Overseas Talent Residence Permit (or the original "Shanghai Residence Permit B"), "Foreigner Employment Permit", and "Residence" Approval Certificate for Employment of Foreigners in Shanghai or Permanent Identity Card for Foreigners

 (3).Taiwan residents provide a "Taiwan Resident Pass to the Mainland" (referred to as "Taiwan Compatriot Card") or a Taiwan Resident Residence Certificate corresponding to the individual housing provident fund account.

2.The original proof of withdrawal :

the certificate that the individual and the unit terminate the labor relationship;

2. The bank debit card in my name. (It is recommended to bring a bank account debit card)

Process flow:

Individuals provide essential materials——
1. If the applicant's housing provident fund account is withdrawn at the unit, the construction bank's housing provident fund business network shall handle it;
2. If the applicant's housing provident fund account is withdrawn in the "Shanghai Housing Provident Fund Management Center Housing Provident Fund Central Sealing Special Account" or "Voluntary Deposit Special Account", the Shanghai Provident Fund Management Center business network shall handle it.

Time limit for processing:

When the formalities are complete, no more than 3 working days.

Matters needing attention:

For those businesses that need to keep photocopies of identification materials, the operators of the housing provident fund business network will scan, print, or copy on their behalf.
